Contests are always free to enter and the prizes are just our way of saying "Thanks!" for coming to Rock-n-Skate.  Here are some of the contests we hold:

Hoola-Hoop Challenge:

5 contestants go head to head to see who can hoola-hoop the longest.  A favorite among many skaters, this contest has brought out many excellent hoola-hoopers sometimes hooping as long as 12 minutes!  While it sometimes looks easy, believe me when I say that it's very difficult to do on ice skates.

Chuck-a-Puck:

Probably better to be defined as slide-a-puck, contestants slide a hockey puck across the ice to see who can get the closest to center ice.  The right combination of speed and direction is a must-have to beat this game!

Dance Contests:

We've tried many variations of this contest but the basic idea is to dance for 30 seconds to a song of your choice either by yourself or with a partner.

Bowling:

At the end of the ice we set up 6 bowling pins and give everyone a chance to see just how many they can knock down.  You don't need speed so much as aim is the biggest factor with this game.
